COME TO OUR GROUNDBREAKING EBAY EVENT!
Monday, November 07, 2005
The World Famous Laugh Factory made history last month by becoming the world's first comedy club to auction off a comedy spot eBay. The winning bid came in at $7,600, and one-hundred percent of all proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross for global victims of all this year's natural disasters.
Our highest eBay bidder, Mark Moseley, offered $7,600 and secured himself a ten-minute set with Jon Lovitz during his weekly show at the World Famous Laugh Factory on Hollywood's legendary Sunset Strip on Wednesday, NOVEMBER 30, 2005.
Jon Lovitz adds: "I think the important thing is to recognize Mark Moseley's extreme generosity in donating $7,600 to help hurricane victims, and I really hope he has a great show." Mark is excited to be working to help Katrina victims: "I grew up down there, and worked in radio along the Gulf Coast, including in New Orleans, where I lived for two years. I have a lot of love for that area. This money will help a lot of folks who are still hurting."
Moseley's performance will also be seen at www.laughfactory.com
Laugh Factory V.P. of Business Development Shawn Ullman explains, "The Laugh Factory and owner Jamie Masada have always been extremely charitable with donations and community outreach, but now with the merging of the tech market and entertainment industries, we are the first comedy club in history to auction off stage time and broadcast the winner's performance online. And the fact that it's for a good cause just makes it that much more important. We are delighted to make this generous contribution in such a ground-breaking way!"
